So... this is just a thread to see who all will not be on the forums on the day of the keynote to avoid any spoilers. I know its a small crowd, but it will certainly require a heavy amount of discipline to not check any news website or mac website or even the apple store. Sort of just checking who's all in? I've subscribed the MacRumors Spoiler Free Page (http://www.macrumors.com/2008/01/10/mwsf-2008-spoiler-free-keynote-stream/) w/ Keynote link (so i can be emailed the link when it comes out).
So.. Who else is checking out Tuesday to watch the Keynote stream (however late it may come online)?

Since when do they last months!?
I would love a backlit keyboard! Laser cut aluminium keys with 16.5 million colour LEDs please :D
My Apple wireless keyboard lasts 2-3 months on regular AA batteries.
If your wireless keyboard was backlit you'd have to replace the batteries every second day or so...

For the life of me, I can't understand why so many "articles" from Macenstein are reposted here.

Didn't work for me. I also see this on two different 10.7 installs. Using the keyboard shortcuts or the menu bar to arrange by still works just no right click.
See screenshot for list of keyboard shortcuts.
Would moving the Finder preference file to your Desktop and starting help? If it's a Finder issue perhaps forcing Finder defaults may help?
Quick question, how did you install Lion? I'm asking as some people installed it over Snow Leopard and are running into issues. You can install it fresh by burning the dmg in Lion(DP1 or 2, doesn't matter but DP2 will be best)/Contents/SharedSupport/InstallESD.dmg to DVD or USB:
Creating a bootable OS X 10.7 Lion disc (Update: and USB stick) (http://holgr.com/blog/2011/02/creating-a-bootable-os-x-10-7-lion-disc/)
I booted up with a fresh SSD and installed fresh, and it fixed a lot of issues (such as not being able to delete any app's in Launchpad and some app's that were not working in DP2 update 2 work well).
Hope this helps! I'm gonna post a thread with this info as well in case others want to know. :)

heh. lack of user support? more like too much support from the warez community... ;) http://mugget.com/web_images/twisted.gif
if you dont' know what really happened to it, dig up the whole story, very interesting, amusing and scary all at the same time. :D
it's probably unrealistic to expect a product that has massive appeal to the warez types not to be cracked and then freely distributed.
do you have any links to "the whole story"? I did some Google digging and I didn't get anywhere. thanks.

If I didn't have a 360 already, I would buy the Elite instead of the premium. For $80 you can future proof yourself more and pretty much never worry about disk space constraints. I'm not going to go out and sell my 360 and get the Elite now, I am very happy with my setup now and all my controllers/accessories are white.

@blevins321:
Thanks for the suggestion, it's very useful. I've already done that for my dad, and it works when he saves contacts through the contacts app.
The main issue is that Apple has made it (rightfully so) very intuitive to save a contact from the dialer or recent-calls menu. all you have to do is click the right-arrow and you'll be able to "add to contacts", which dumps it into the iphone-contacts folder, instead of exchange, regardless of the default contact view in the contacts app.
I myself don't add contacts through the contacts app, as I normally key in the number in the dialer then hit the "+" button to create a contact :/

Well, I'm now running a 6040, so not exactly stellar points wise, but better than the 6701:
TPF: 15 min 43 s
PPD: 7445
This is really just an experiment for the mpb - Once I decide on which SSD to get it will become my main home machine.
What is slightly concerning is that the CPU is at 85 C, but the heatsink temperatures are at 45 and 46 C. That really does suggest that the thermal paste isn't doing it's job of letting the heat move to the heatsink.
I'm trying to resist the urge to redo it with some AS5 to see if I can drop the CPU temp, but for normal (non folding!) use I can't see it being a problem.

Yep, basically every Apple product does this.
Confused. Turning the phone off and on again?
Yeah, I would power it off all the way and then turn it on

General Sentiment is part of an elite team of Mercenary Ex-Servicemen who reside in the shadows of the Los Angeles Underground. The full contingent is:
General Sentiment (Responsible for monitoring morale)
Major Improvement (Morale Uplifts)
Admiral Butterfly (Aesthetics)
Corporal Punishment (Deals with those who lower morale)
Private Practice (deals with those unfortunate enough to have faced Corporal Punishment)
and finally...
Seaman Staines (added to the team only to provide Murdock-style comedy value at the end of each scene).
I'm shocked you have forgotten Colonel Panic, who has been known to stop computers dead with his amazing multi-lingual skills.

Now, can we teach wolves to bring down helicopters?I'm kind of thinking of arming a moose with a heat-seeking missiles, but to say more would put us in PRSI territory. ;)

It sounds like he was recruited into the gaming Mafia or something!Well, the gaming community definitely gets intense in their er... 'hobby' or lifestyle. They take things berseriously. Like the person who stabbed someone w/ a screwdriver at one exhibition event. And come on, who wouldn't take a 'game' seriously if the prize was sponsored gaming set ups from big companies and free games/software/hardware and even beaucoup cash?! :p

While the HTML is valid, the CSS doesn't seem to be.
W3C CSS Validator results (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.myelixr.com%2F&usermedium=all)
Two errors, but it's way to early/late for me try to make any sense of it...

You also need to look at what environment & how many people are going to access that server.
Small businesses don't need much, obviously larger companies need more. You can see this with the Mac Mini which they sell as a server or the Mac Pro for high usage needs.
I would think large companies need more ram and cores then speed alone.
