There are many 40 pin ZIF to sata adapters out there... what's needed is actually a LIF adapter. According to other forums, this could do this job:

I had a 12 inch 867 before, and I could have cooked eggs on that baby! :eek:

I got a new 12" PB, and its stays very cool, unless your running some intense programs, like 3D games (i.e. Unreal Tournament 2004).

I was experiencing the same message ("None of the items in this playlist can be burned to disc", even while trying to burn a regular audio CD.

The message appeared when I had the playlist selected on the left, then pressed burn.

I tried checking all the check boxes next to the songs in the list. This allowed me burn the disc.

It seems like a bug -- why wouldn't itunes just alert me that "no items were selected to burn"?

yeah i ran across that review when searching. it's only slightly faster though, and a little harder to overclock. but i bet it would be good at folding. i wonder if many people are using them?

I wonder if cuda would run on the 9400? graphics chip? that would help get some extra ppd. Too bad you can't change graphics boards in that monster iMac, it seems like it could use faster graphics for that large monitor.

I you look at the first article on the page, you will see that in a reference to an interview with Apple France director J.R. Cazeneuve, he is quoted as saying Apple worked very well with Motorola on the G5.

Bet ya a million buck we get G5's early next year.

This happens from time to time with some of my e-mail accounts, too... It happens because the server is down, for whatever reason... I normally just hit 'escape' and let the account be offline for a while (you'll see a ~ symbol or a ! in a triangle next to the accounts inbox (and all folders on an IMAP account)). Then when you assume the server is back up you just hit the ~ and then 'check mail', and assuming you keep your password on the keychain you will not have to re-enter the password (if the server requests it, chances are it's still down, just try again a bit later). If the sign is the ! then you'll, get a 'go online' question...

Talk to Apple. This looks like the infamous Nvidia 8600M issue and may still be covered under Apple's replacement scheme (I actually got a brand new MBP out of them about 6 months out of warranty).

Make an appointment at your local genius bar and see what they say.

I got a refund for Aperture when my nephew accidentally bought it whilst playing on my Mac. Strangely enough, I can still use the App, (even though I don't as I prefer iPhoto), I though Apple would have the power to remove stuff off your purchases list so you could no longer use it.

It really, really depends on what your platform and application is. NO ONE can give you good advise without knowing those two things. You probably want a consultant to help you design this properly if you aren't an expert.
