hi recently ive been getting this error message everytime I try and download something from Safari. does anyone know how to solve this problem?? i attached a snapshot of the error message, hope the picture works!
Looking at your error message, it looks like your Safari installation is corrupted. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to fix this - what's needed is a reinstall of Safari, but doing that is easier said than done due to the way Apple sometimes bundles Safari updates along with operating system updates. If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.7, download the Mac OS X Combined Update 10.3.7 (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxcombinedupdate_10_3_7.html) (warning, it's a 97 MB file) and install it - it includes a Safari update, which MIGHT fix your issue. Otherwise, I'm not sure how to help, since I've lost touch with Mac OS X versions older than 10.3.

Erase and Install.
Lesson: Don't install preview/beta OS over your original OS when you are relying on that machine.
+1. I'm going to wait till Lion has been out for 2-3 months and all the 3rd party software I use is compatible with it :D

Who gives a rats ass?
Its apparently a great game. Its getting rave reviews. So its a big deal for mac to get an a-list game.
To answer your question, anyone that is a star wars fan or anyone that likes high quality games. Which, last I heard, means a lot of people.
The bigger question is when is it coming out for Mac? Though I'm all for more games on mac, I have to say that I'll probably be finished playing the ps2 version by the time the mac version is released...

Hey guys. We know that the MB 2008 only adress 6GB RAM even the 8GB kit is installed (OWC wrote this) if more than 6GB memory is inserted then the machine would lag horribly
I have the latest boot ROM version [MB51.007D.B03]
Ya i haven't made any upgrades in a while.
Someone told me this :http://www.macrumors.com/2011/03/07/secret-firmware-update-unlocks-support-for-8-gb-ram-on-late-2008-notebooks/
so i ask question in this thread.
so should i install 8GB (2x4GB's) on my MB 2008 Alu?
Mac OS 10.6.7 2.0GHz 2GB stock RAM 160GB 5400RPM stock HDD

I'm an Android guy but I bought an iPad 2. Since I didn't know much of the app store, I bought an app for $9.99 with my mom's credit card (it's on her account). but i wanted to use my 25 dollar gift card, i didn't know you were supposed to redeem it first -___-.
i sent an email reporting it saying it was a mistake. do you think they will revert it or does apple have a no return policy?

So he got pricked by a cock? This will be hard on his family; I hope they have the tools to deal with it. It's never easy when you lose a family member.

A CDN isn't a web host or a cloud provider. It's a distributed network of computers that push-out content to the "edges" of the Internet, closer to users. It's appropriate for large web sites with large geographic appeal which also have a need for low-latency deliver of content to users.
Amazon does have a CDN product, but it's not included in the base S3 offering. S3 offers storage services in ONE of Amazon's data centers, but doesn't push-out content across their world-wide network.
To my knowledge, the other solutions offered aren't CDNs and don't offer a CDN product.
Let's see, VPS offers origin pull caching on a few dozen locations around the world, including over a dozen in the US.
Surely that's not a CDN.
Agreed. The Amazon product you'd be looking at is "CloudFront", not "S3".
And Rackspace does offer a CDN now, but it's actually using Akamai for the CDN functionality. Akamai is the big corporate CDN player I've used. It's pricy, though.
http://www.akamai.com/
Yes, Rackspace says it uses Akamai. So why shouldn't you use Akamai? Hint: Just try to find prices on Akamai. It's not for small companies.
Also, even if you select amazon cloudfront, you'll still get a price by region quote tool.

Coolio! - *adds name to list of people who want pics*
It would also be interesting to see if the person who had it kept the HD - It is unlikely, but it could have an early development build of Mac OS X Installed - as even back then Apple had Internal Builds for Prototypes to handle all the extra I/O.

Thanks for all the replies.
I don't mind spending the $99 to get a developer license, I just didn't want to do it if I couldn't do what I needed to do.
We already have a website/twitter/facebook, I just wanted to cover all bases and an app seemed like the next step.

Verify if the Seagate warranty does apply if you buy an OEM drive.
I will but if it's just replacement warranty, for the cost, I wouldn't be *too* bothered if it wasn't covered. I'll be backing everything up anyway.
Good point though.
Thanks.

I just installed the Intel 320 (120 GB) and I must say that I'm amazed.. No set-up besides the TRIMenabler patch
That's great news!
Did you get the OEM or Retail version? I'm ordering the OEM version, but I don't know if I'll be missing any screws or anything.
(I don't need the cables to clone my drive - I'm gonna migrate my data files using Time Machine.)
thanks,
nick

How much do you think the Lion update would cost?
129 tops. Just buy now, delaying a computer purchase because of an OS upgrade is silly.

Okay so it ended up working, (using the retail version via flashdrive) Thanks everyone for pointing out that over sight.

and people have two legs. Of course it isn't common knowledge, that still doesn't not make it a huge security breach. Obviously Apple thought people could figure it out if they released a security update just for this. Does apple normally wait for just one bug? Usually in security updates it is multiple bugs I think.
Except you forgot the part where you need to have knowledge of how the hack actually works. The majority of bugs are just not common knowledge or as easy as browsing someone on the same network.

Hmmm... Lumines I/II since you generally spend about and hour and half doing one game only to lose, swear, and start over. I dunno how long Syphon Filter is but it's a pretty good action game, as is GTA:VCS. The Sega Genesis collection will keep you busy if you like old school games since Phantasy Star IV alone is a good 10 hours to beat. Ratchet and Clank maybe?

Think what you want people. But if Sony wins; it truly means you don't own any of the consoles you buy.
I hope he loses. Damnit, his hacking of the PS3 has lead to making MW2 effing unbearable online now due to all the hackers exploiting his hardware hack
