Hi All

Anyone able to get splashtop to work over 3g using a mac osx or windows vista. I can connect fine over wifi but i cannot get 3g to work. i opened the ports etc... i read the tutorials at splashtop 10x but i cannot get it to work :(

i am using fios with and actiontec wireless router.

any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Agreed. I've been using the "Olympus Master 2" software with my E-PL1's RAW files and it's ssssslllllooooowwwww (like 20s to display a pic in 1:1 resolution). Wondering if iPhoto's RAW handling is significantly faster than the Olympus s/w.

Been holding off on upgrading from iPhoto '08 -> '09 in the hopes that '10 will come out soon....................soon?

Pages is perfectly fine for word processing, which I know from experience as I been using it for that purpose every day for nearly two years. Most of the people who say otherwise either haven't learned to use it or would have preferred that Apple produce a Word clone. Some of are very happy that they did not go that route.

Hey,
Does anyone have any advice/experience with buying apple products on ebay? I have talked to many sellers who are selling apple products for ridiculously low prices. It's tempting, but at the same time i don't know if they will not just rip me off and not send the product. Most sellers are overseas. Any comments???

One product: Powerbook 17" with 23" display for $2200...now that obviously seems too good to be true

Hello World, my first post on macrumors

I tried searching but most of the information was not in recent time, so figured to post a new thread.

I bought a used 3GS 8GB yesterday from a person. The phone is unlocked and jailbroken.

Here is the relevant information:

Version: 4.3.2 (8H7)

Model: MC640LL

Modem Firmware (baseband, i think): 06.15.00

Currently I am using it with T-Mobile, so I know it is unlocked properly.

My question is....

The phone has apps and settings from the previous user. I want to 'reset' or 'restore' or something like that to remove all settings and content from previous user.

If I go to Settings --> General --> Reset and perform a reset, will my phone still be usable with T-Mobile?

you need to restor with custom firmware, because of the 6.15.00 baseband.

then jailbreak and install ultrasnow.

hurry up because 4.3.3 was released and might not be jailbreakable.

if you have SHSH for 4.3.2. or anything earlier, you will be OK.

I honestly havnen't had good luck with the mac clients. I LOVE the GPU clients on regular PC's. There is just so much more PPD available with a GPU client.

Wont the OS 'be PPC', preventing it from booting on intel hardware, and also devoid of drivers? I know the apps included on OS X are UBs, but isn't the 'core' either PPC or x86?

Intel can boot from a GUID(intel) or Apple Partition Map-APM(PPC). Leopard is also universal as it contains all files for both PPC and x86 Macs. All Snow Leopard was basically a stripped down version of Leopard, just removed all PPC support.

I removed a hard drive from my G5 and had it in a USB enclosure and it booted just fine on my 2009 Mac Mini. I was running 10.5.8 even though my Mini shipped with 10.6.
