Im heading up there after tech school on friday so i'll be there around 445. Im planning on bringing my macbook pro with me to use while i wait.

The Macbook is the low end Mac laptop. Its great for productivity, etc. However I would suggest getting a high end imac 27" with the 1GB ATI video chip for gaming. I don't do much gaming anymore, but its the video card, or video chip that makes most of the difference when it comes to good graphics.
I know that the Mac Books do not do well with heavy graphics, and were never meant to be gaming machines. Laptops in general were never really meant for gaming as is. The mac Book pro may be a better choice as far as laptops go.
If you run windows through Boot Camp, you will have no problems that you wouldn't experience on any windows machine. Like crashing, freezing and needing to shut down and reboot from sleep, viruses that never stop coming, and all the other wonderful things that go with Windows.
If you want great gaming experiences go buy a PS3, there set up just for that.

I am trying verify if data recovery is possible on a customers Macbook Air a1304 hard drive. Since Apple decided to use that 1.8" drive I am trying to find an adapter that will work in a desktop SATA or IDE that isn't some ridiculous price. The Air had water spilled on it so it will not turn on nor do I have another air to test it in.
From what I can find the Air uses a 1.8" ZIF drive. Would this ZIF CE 1.8 Microdrive to 3.5 40pin adapte (http://www.amazon.com/ZIF-1-8-Micro-Drive-Adapter/dp/B004AXDA82)r work. Perhaps this Toshiba 1.8 ZIF to 2.5 IDE (http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-1-8-Zif-2-5-Connector/dp/B0018S9RQG) (I have an external enclosure that works with the 2.5 IDE). I also found this external USB enclosure (http://www.amazon.com/Aluminum-Enclosure-1-8-inch-Toshiba-Connector/dp/B0037FR27E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1302904126&sr=8-2). I'm hoping someone (with more experience at this than me) can help. I'm a UK citizen currently working in the US. I'm paid in cash and have been paying this into a US bank account. I finish my contract and head back to the UK in a month or so, and would prefer to keep my money in US dollars at the moment (until I can get a good exchange rate).
As I'm not getting any interest on the money, I would like to invest it in some Apple stock. I have researched this but cannot seem to find the best way of doing this. It seems I have to be a US citizen for most brokers to help me? And I'd rather use US brokers instead of UK as my money is in a US bank account.
If anyone has any advice as to how I as a british citizen can invest USD into a US company that would be great.

Samsung's new "Super" AMOLED are actually somewhat visible outside. They are an improvement in that respect. Besides that, it will have inferior color reproduction and (IMO) over-saturated colors.

Is there perhaps stand-alone MP3 software for the PS2?
I know Blaze created a MP3 app for the Dreamcast during it's lifespan. Put the app CD in, boot it up, then swap it out with an MP3 disc, and you can play all the Mp3s on it.
There are also some freeware DC apps that do the same, and even play really obscure file formats such as OGG and .nsf.

i thought walmart only sold lindows too, but i was in a couple of weeks ago and saw some generic box running windows...
anyway congratulations on finding Mac :) mac is like finding nirvana at the end of several nasty past-lives... those PC's are just a bad dream anymore, and even if you get a hardware problem Apple will be happy to take care of you :)

Pretty harsh suggested response don't you think. In general it is relatively trivial for the mods to change a thread title, so if you think it is a problem then please report it and then we can assess the situation.
I don't see it all too often so am not sure that it is such a widespread problem that it needs to be written in to the rules

At this stage I'd probably buy a cheap DS Lite! The 3DS is around the corner, but without a preorder you might not have any luck getting one for another month or so.
The DSi doesn't really do anything beyond a DS Lite, it just adds a bigger screen and a download store.
The (original) DS has a horrible display so avoid that like the plague.

There was a really freak heavy thunder storm earlier, completely out of the blue*, went from sunny to storm in under 10 minutes, dunno if it's related, I thought it was quite strange, it's sunny now too.

You'll have to create a custom subclass of UISlider to achieve this. The general flow would be something like:
- Create a custom subclass of UISlider
- Override the touch handling methods
- When a touch down is detected, determine the location of the touch relative to self
- Set the value of self (the UISlider) to the value corresponding to that touch location
